Anthony Theodore Chiono Hernandez was born July 9, 1962 in Miami, Arizona to Theodore Hernandez and Lucia Chiono Hernandez Luna (Salvador Luna). He passed away peacefully in his home in Gilbert, Arizona on Sept. 11, 2022. He is survived by his three children, Samantha Hernandez, Danielle Hernandez (Levi Miller) and Simon Hernandez. He has three grandchildren, Layla Romine, Marlee Hernandez and Atticus Miller. Tony has four surviving sisters, Marie Wilmont, Patricia Chiono Hernandez, Evelyn Tabako (Scott Tabako) and Teddi Olvera (Frank Olvera), and many nieces and nephews. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandmother Dominica “Kina” Matté Chiono, Antone “Daddio” Chiono (Tony), his mother Lucy, stepmother Joan Hernandez, and younger brother Ralph Brandon Louis Hernandez. Tony grew up on Euclid Street, where he attended Central School and Globe Junior High. During junior high Tony moved to Whittier, California, where he finished out junior high and graduated from Whittier High School. Tony went on to become a pressman, and spent his time as an avid hunter with his beloved dogs Hammer and Bullet. Tony also enjoyed going on vacation with his kids to Rocky Point and Disneyland. He was a kind and caring person who will be very much missed.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 at Holy Angels Catholic Church.

Interment was held in Globe Cemetery.
