Anna Louise Fox passed away at home on Jan. 16, 2022. She was 88 years old.

Louise (Anna) had been a resident of Claypool/Miami since 1945. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Faye Golden, husband Rondal Lee Fox, and sisters Peggye Howell and Ruth Jimenez.

She was born on Dec. 30, 1933 in Mena, Arkansas to Oscar and Faye Golden. In 1944/1945 the family moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming where they lived for a brief time, and then moved to the Globe area, living in the Federal Housing Project in Claypool (present-day Walmart), when Louise was 12. She attended Miami schools and graduated from Miami High School in 1951. In 1952 she married Rondal Lee Fox. They had two daughters, Debra and Karen.

Louise worked for a few years at Central Drug in Miami and then left to raise her children. She was active in the bowling leagues at Copper Hills Bowling Alley as well as the Claypool United Methodist Church. During the summer, family trips across the western US and Canada were the norm. She was also very active in the FOPA for many years and could be found on bingo nights working with others to make them successful. In her later years she became the crafts teacher for Gila Pueblo and the local Senior Centers. She also enjoyed spoiling all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary F. (Lupe) Perez and Susie E. Andress, both of Claypool, children Debra Loyd of Florence and Karen Fox of Globe, grandchildren Sean Loyd, Darcy (Tucker) Wolf and Jessica (Robert) Mathews, great-grandchildren Noah Loyd, Genevieve “Evie” Wolf, Emmi Wolf, Liam Alexander, Aislyn Alexander, Callan Philpot and Declan Philpot, plus many nieces and nephews too numerous to list.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Bulman Miles, at 237 S. Sutherland St. in Globe. Interment will be at Mountain Breeze Cemetery. Assisting the family; Bulman Miles Funeral Services of Globe.
