Angelita ‘Lita’ Jimenez, 98

Angelita “Lita” Jimenez, age 98, a resident of Miami, Ariz., was called to her heavenly home on Aug. 6, 2017.  She was born in Clifton, Ariz. on Jan. 27, 1919 to Antonio and Josepha Jimenez.  Lita worked for JC Penney in both the Miami and Globe stores.  After her retirement, Lita cheerfully worked as a greeter at the Walmart store in Globe.  

Lita was a dynamic and active member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami. Lita enjoyed singing in the church choir and she also loved serving Christ as a church volunteer.  

Lita lived a very fruitful, peaceful and beautiful life. She found tremendous joy in serving others and she greatly enjoyed the many good friends that she made over the years.  

Lita will be deeply missed by her loving and caring family, her many good friends, the wonderful clergy from Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, and by all who have known her.

Lita is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Antonio and Josepha Jimenez; her beloved sisters, Sylvia Almeda of Miami; and her beloved brothers, Flavio Jimenez of Chester, Calif. and Frank G. Jimenez of Globe.

She is survived by her loving and caring sister, Alice Taylor of Queen Creek, Ariz.; her loving and caring brothers, Tom Hernandez of Queen Creek, and Trinadad Hernandez of Queen Creek; and many beautiful and loving nieces and nephews. 

Visitation was at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, located at 844 W. Sullivan St., Miami, Ariz. 85539. 

The Rosary was at 9:30 a.m.; the Mass of Christian Burial followed at 10 a.m. and the Burial was at the Pinal Cemetery, 7667 Golden Hill Road, Central Heights, AZ  85501.
