Department of Arizona, American Legion Auxiliary Apache Unit 27 met on June 9 to pack boxes to send to deployed military troops. The care packages contained personal toiletries, as well as books, snacks and games. Sunland Spring Village, a 55+ community in close proximity to Post 27, collected items for several weeks to donate to this worthy cause. Items were also dropped off at the Post and brought in my members at the June meeting. With the collected items, Apache Unit 27 was able to pack 23 boxes to be sent.
