Members of the San Carlos Apache Tribe and other participants took a spiritual journey of prayer and ceremony for the protection of Oak Flat. Every year hundreds of people walk for 45 miles from the San Carlos reservation, through Globe and Miami, and up to Oak Flat. This walk is of spiritual importance to the Apache Stronghold.
