MHS Japanese program visits California

During spring break, student and staff from the Miami High School Japanese program visited the WWII Japanese Internment Camp in Manzanar, Calif. It was an awesome, inspiring, and fun trip. The group also visited Japantown in San Francisco.

CVIT Welding program supports Rotary Club

High Desert Middle School would like to congratulate the Gila County Spelling Bee participants. These top spellers participated in the Gila County Spelling Bee on Thursday, Feb. 23. Globe Rotary Club grants $300 to GHS special education students

Globe Rotary Club president Mike Volckmann presents a check for $300 to Globe High School special education teacher Siobhan Demers on Monday morning. Globe Rotarians Mickie Nye, Mary Anne Moreno and Pearl Nancarrow were also in attendance. The grant from the Globe Rotary Club will go toward buying a washer and a dryer for Special Education Life Skills students.
