Globe & Miami play in tournament

Florence -- Miami brought its overall record to 4-4 during the Joe Padilla Invitational.
Miami lost to Estrella 9-8 and Combs 9-3, and beat San Tan 4-2, Globe 7-2 and Morenci 13-3. The Vandals play at San Carlos on Thursday, March 9 at 4 p.m. and host Bagdad on Friday, March 10 at 4 p.m.

Florence -- The Globe Tigers played in the Joe Padilla Invitational over the weekend . They lost 8-6 to Hayden, 2-0 to Safford and 7-2 to Miami, but beat Bisbee 5-4. Their overall record is now 2-5.
Globe will play at San Carlos on Friday, March 10 at 4 p.m.

Miami -- The Vandals beat Santa Cruz 17-4 on Wednesday, Feb. 22. Coach Castaneda said "We played very well and senior Kenon Dzera pitched a great game, getting his first win and only giving up 3 hits.

Miami tennis hosts back-to-back matches

Miami -- The Miami boys tennis defeated Superior, 9-0, on Wednesday Feb. 22 and topped Safford, 5-4, on Thursday.The Lady Vandals won against Superior, 9-0, but lost to Safford, 7-2.
Miami will host Thatcher on Tuesday, March 7 at 4 p.m.
